Prophet is a 16 year old Morgan gelding that we adopted in April of 2002. He was a pasture decoration for six years. The previous owner told us that Prophet was not the kind of horse that would like lots of attention. He was not a huggable kissable horse. Well, I am happy to say that by the second day I greeted Prophet in the barn with his breakfast he was licking my arm and rubbing his nose on my face. He truly lives for attention from us. He is grateful for the care and attention we give him After a short couple months together Prophet taught me to be a saddle-seat rider. We started in May and by September we won our first " A" rated Blue Ribbon at the NYSMHS. The class had nine riders. It was a moment in time I will never forget!
I am a firm believer in the fact that not every horse is for every person. We need to carefully find our equine partners. Prophet and I have found each other and he will stay with us forever!
